于明辉同学因车祸于4月4日在美国逝世，享年25岁。

于明辉同学生于山东省潍坊市，2002年进入中国科学技术大学少年班系教学改革试点班学习 。2006年赴美国哥伦比亚大学留学，攻读博士学位。

于明辉同学勤奋好学成绩优异，在本科学习期间连续获得校一等奖学金，并于2006年获得中 国科学技术大学最高荣誉奖---郭沫若奖学金；于明辉同学积极服务同学，大学一年级时曾任02级学习委员，二年级至毕业一直担任02级班长职务 ，其在美求学期间，曾任哥伦比亚大学学生联合会外联部部长一职。
